Fantasy Sports Boss: FANTASY BASEBALL WRAPUP: THURSDAY

Mark Texeira:? 1/4 with his 25th HR while hitting .243.? Texeira has been locked into the home run ball all season and yeah the average is an issue but the overall package is great.?

CC Sabbathia:? 7.2 IP 6 H 0 ER 2 BB 13 K with an ERA of 3.05.? Yeah so that declining K rate that Sabbathia had is a thing of the past.? Damn he was cooking today.?

Brett Gardner:? 0/3 with 2 steals (19 for season) while hitting .274.? The steal-a-day pace he has now will end in a few days when El Capitan returns.? Damn Gardner was really running wild too.?

Dustin Pedroia:? 1/4 with his 7th HR while hitting .272.? Pedroias has been somewhat disappointing as he fights through injuries again but he is getting his numbers.? No buyer's remorse here.

Jason Varitek:? 2/4 with 2 home runs (5 for season) while hitting .248.? I gather this is probably the last time I will mention Varitek in this feature.? After all he is like a bazzilion years old.

Ryan Howard:? 2/3 with his 17th HR while hitting .254.? Yeah Howard's average has been sucky but if he hits 10 home runs in July which he is fully capable of doing, all will be forgiven.

Jon Lester:? 7 IP 2 H 0 ER 2 BB 5 K with an ERA of 3.43.? The Troy Tulowitzki of pitchers is ready to make his run/

Carlos Beltran:? 1/4 with his 12th HR while hitting .281.? The steals are a thing of the past but Beltran is hitting home runs at his old pace.? In a year where Bartolo Colon was pitching like Cy Young before getting hurt, I wont pass judgement on any golden oldie playing well, no matter how unlikely.

Justin Verlander:? 7 IP 7 H 1 ER 2 BB 6 K with an ERA of 2.32.? I guarantee you there is a spoiled Verlander owner out there complaining about the low K total in the game.? Losers.

Pablo Sandoval:? 2/6 with his sixth HR and 2nd SB while hitting .293.? The Hit and Run special for Sandoval who must have been running before the pitch was even thrown for him to make it to second safely.

Geovany Soto:? 1/1 with his 8th HR while hitting .224.? Lets hope you didnt bench him after seeing he was out of the lineup.? He is starting to get hot so get him in there.

Aramis Ramirez:? 1/5 with his 10th HR while hitting .292.? The guy is Public Enemy Number One for me this season.? Unreal.? Just hit another 40 home runs Aramis and get it over with because you know you will get there just to drive me insane.

Matt Cain:? 7 IP 4 H 0 ER 1 BB 6 K with an ERA of 3.02.? The guy is awesome.? Plain and simple.

Gordon Beckham:? 3/3 with his 7th HR while hitting .236.? Remember early on in the season when I mentioned him almost everyday when he was in the zone?? Yeah that was a long time ago.

Troy Tulowitzki:? 1/3 with his 15th HR while hitting .271.? About 15 more homers at least to go and likely more as his second half surge is underway.

Trevor Cahill:? 4 ER in 4.2 IP with an ERA of 3.28.? Up and up we go with the ERA correction.? Yup.

Lance Berkman:? 2/5 with 2 home runs (20 for season) while hitting .296.? Everytime I think of selling high on Berkman, he has a game like this.? Its looking like I wil enjoy this renaissance all season.

Mark Reynolds:? 2/4 with his 15th HR while hitting .225.? Reynolds hitting .225 is like anyone else hitting .300.
