Oracle CEO Larry Ellison and Apple co-founder Steve Jobs have been named by the Bay Area Council to the Bay Area Business Hall of Fame.
Ellison and Jobs will be honored at a gala on Nov. 7 in San Francisco. Ellison, who founded Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) in 1977, will attend.
Jobs, who died in October 2011, co-founded Apple in 1977 and long served as CEO and chairman.
Previous inductees into the Hall of Fame over its 18 years include William Hewlett and David Packard, Gap Chairman Donald Fisher, George Lucas, Sun Microsystems co-founder Scott McNealy, Charles Schwab, Intel co-founder Gordon Moore and Adobe Systems founder John Warnock, among others.
